Colorado vehicle tint laws
Car Tinting laws for colorado
Every state has different laws on how dark your vehicle can be tinted. The law in Colorado is that you can tint the back windows of your vehicle as dark as you want. They can even be blacked out completely if you desire. However, the driver and passenger windows have to be 27% or lighter. Most film manufactures do not make a 27% film. The closest is going to be 30% which is still legal. It is 3 degrees lighter which is negligible. Keep in mind that the lower the percentage of film the darker the tint is.
It is always a safe practice to roll down your diver and passenger window if you are ever pulled over, no matter how dark your tint is. This is not only for your safety, but the safety of the officer.
